For those who don’t yet hold a degree, you may need to complete some prerequisite courses and general education requirements, typically offered in person during the day.

What You’ll Learn

The Ðǿմ«Ã½ nursing program will prepare you to promote health and provide nursing care to people of all ages and across all socioeconomic levels.  Along with mastering the tasks required for  working in a health care setting, you’ll learn how the body works, and how it interacts with medications, as you gain proficiency in  physiology, nutrition, and chemistry.

Classes: Monday – Wednesday 5 to 9 pm

Clinicals: 5 to 10 pm, not including Fridays


Admission Information

Candidates for the nursing program must first be admitted to the College through the Office of Admissions. Admission to the College however, does not guarantee admission to the nursing program, which conducts its own review and selection process. Meeting minimum program requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the nursing program. All applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 and a minimum score of 70 on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) to be eligible for admission to the sophomore level nursing courses.

The nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) of the American Association of Colleges of Nurses (AACN) and the New York State Department of Education.
