This conference began in the 1980’s. Late each Spring semester, during the last 1-2 weeks of school, Ðǿմ«Ã½ Psychology Program hosts an undergraduate psychology conference.Ìý All Dominican Psychology majors present their capstone research at the conference as part of their senior seminar (PS472) requirements. Most students present their research orally using PowerPoint slides but occasionally present posters.

The conference is open to any undergraduate students who wish to present psychological research or theoretical papers, regardless of whether they are students in PS472. In addition, other universities and high schools are welcome to present or attend (high school students are limited to presenting posters unless they receive special permission from the Conference Coordinator).

Honors Convocation & Alpha Chi Induction Ceremony

All members of the Ðǿմ«Ã½ New York community are cordially invited to attend this year'sÌýHonors Convocation & Alpha Chi Induction ceremony on Monday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m.Ìýin the Doering Charger Center, located in the rear of the Hennessy Center Gymnasium.

The Honors Convocation celebrates Ðǿմ«Ã½'s most accomplished students who have made the Dean’s List for one to three years. Each student will receive a colored tassel to wear at Commencement, denoting the year(s) spend on the Dean's List.

The is a national honor society which recognizes academic excellence and is highly selective. Alpha Chi is openÌýto juniors, seniors, and graduate students who areÌýranked academicallyÌýin the top 10%. ÌýAlpha Chi members receive recognition as distinguished students and members of one of the largest and most prestigious college honor societies in the world.
